I worked with layers of paint to try and achieve that sense of depth and the subtle variations in the wet surfaces. The reflections were particularly important – getting that shimmer and the way the light distorts the shapes. It's about capturing not just what you see, but the feeling of being there, the coolness on your skin, the quiet hum of the city settling down.
It’s a moment in time, a fleeting beauty that I wanted to hold onto and share. A quiet, reflective walk through a place that feels both old and alive. That’s what I hoped to capture in this painting.
